-1893-French Period: Cote d'Ivore officially becomes a French colony.
-August 7, 1960-Independence Day: The independence is won from France.
-July 2000-New Constitution: Noters aprroved a new constitution.
-Late 2000-Former Prime Minister Jailed: Former minister jailed because questions of his nationality(have to be born in Cote d'Ivore to -work for the government)
-September 2002-Rebels: Rebels start uprising in many cities to protest against the government, and sized control over the north
-January 2003-Country Divides: Because of what happened in September 2002 the government sent troops beside the 4,000 french peace keepers, who kept the east and west cease firelines, dividing the country
